The Pells opens 18 April 2026

It's time to dust off those swimmies for the new season, which starts on Saturday 18 April.

Tickets go on sale soon. You can find out more details on our sessions and prices on the Times and prices page. Sessions can be booked up to two weeks in advance, through our booking system, Bookwhen (which goes live on 4 April 2026, the same day as our community day).

We’ll be running lots of special events this year, including midnight swims, a summer solstice swim and bonfire swim, plus there’ll be food vans, a music festival and much more!

Keep an eye out for announcements on the website and social media, to find out when you can book tickets for these really popular events.

Sauna news

We’re excited to announce we’ll be getting our very own sauna this year.

Following two successful seasons with Nomadic Sauna, we’ve commissioned a sauna from Millimetre, which builds all of Nomadic’s saunas. The sauna will be run by the Pells team.

We’re expecting our sauna to be in place behind the sun terrace soon after the season starts – we’ll update everyone on the website and on social media.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming you back.

The news of Pells Pool opening for the 2026 season is such a breath of fresh air, offering a glimpse of the work-life balance I strive to maintain while navigating the intensive rigors of my current PhD research. Balancing my doctoral studies with a part-time job at Last Minute Assignment has given me a front-row seat to the modern student experience, where the simple need for a restorative swim or a break in nature often clashes with the reality of crushing academic deadlines and complex behavioral case studies. Having suffered through many high-stress hustles and sleepless nights during my own college days, I am now incredibly conscious of the mental toll an unmanaged workload can take on one’s stability. Such a well-written post and honestly one of the most underrated topics in entrepreneurship — trust isn't something you can manufacture overnight, it's built through consistent ethical behavior over time. The point about prioritizing integrity over short-term benefits is so important because so many early-stage entrepreneurs make the mistake of cutting corners for quick wins, not realizing that one unethical decision can permanently damage a reputation that took years to build. What really resonated is the idea of trusting your product and trusting yourself — because confidence is contagious, and if you genuinely believe in what you're building and stay true to your original vision, that energy naturally attracts the right partners and customers. For young entrepreneurs especially, understanding that…

The post about The Pells opening on 18 April 2026 is exciting because it marks the start of the new swimming season at one of the UK’s oldest outdoor pools, known for its spring-fed water, long lanes, and relaxed community atmosphere. It reminded me of waiting for local facilities to reopen after winter closures, when everyone feels ready to get active again. I once used Help with the NEBOSH open-book exam while managing study pressure, which helped me stay organized. It shows how good preparation makes even busy periods feel more manageable.
