The iconic Pells kiosk would be refurbished and extended as part of the proposals
We’re delighted to share our future vision for Pells Pool, following feedback from pool users.
Our aim is to protect the unique character of Pells Pool and its setting, while looking to meet the aspirations of swimmers, visitors and staff for improved facilities, which will be flood-resilient and future-proofed.
We’ve now asked for pre-application advice from the South Downs National Park planning authority on our proposals, which we originally presented at our official opening day in 2025.
The proposals are by no means final; we would welcome comments and suggestions from swimmers, visitors and the local community.
Read more on the About us page, where you’ll be able to download details of the proposals and find out how to comment.
We’re also holding an exhibition at Lewes Town Hall until 30 April 2026, where you can view the proposals and leave comments.
We’ll be manning the exhibition boards on 25 March 2026 (5:30-8:30pm) and on 2 April 2026 (4:30-8:30pm), if you’d like to discuss the proposals in person.
